Meet Dr. Traci King

A Passion for Dentistry

I’m passionate about getting people healthy: Healthy Mouth, Healthy Body! As a dentist, I can move a person out of pain, restore function to enable them to chew properly, and improve their smile. For each patient, this means a happier life. When a person has great oral health and a wonderful smile, their body is in better shape and they feel better about themselves. They smile more and are filled with greater confidence. What a joy it is to be able to provide such service.

I love getting to know each of my patients on a personal level. As their dentist, I spend time talking with them about their goals in seeking treatment, and asking about their life and interests. This allows me to find the treatment solutions that are right for them. It also sets the foundation for a relationship, as we learn more about each other, talking and laughing together. I become a trusted partner in their healthcare, and their friend, as well.

Education and Commitment to Continuing Education

  • Bachelor of Science in biology – Hardin-Simmons University
  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio

Throughout the year I attend continuing education courses on a wide range of topics. This keeps me up to date on the latest and best technologies, emerging treatment processes, and materials. As a member of the SPEAR Education Institution in Scottsdale, AZ, I meet with a local study group once a month and attend a weekend course at the institute once a year. Being a member allows me to grow professionally alongside my peers. Continuing education ensures my patients will receive the highest level of care, that will give them the best results in the most timely and affordable manner.

Personal Life

I grew up in a very small community south of Abilene, called Elm Valley, and now live about 1.5 miles from the house where I was raised. My husband and I love living in the country and raising our family in that same wonderful community. James and I have been married for almost 15 years. We have four children: Elaina, Madalynn, JE, and Deagan.

When I’m not at work, you’ll find me with my family, at church or attending one of the many sports activities for my kids. My favorite way to spend time away from work is with my husband and kiddos.
